Recycling in Birmingham – help for places of Worship
28/04/2011
A recent study found that 20% of what we throw away is paper and card which could be recycled. This means that over 40,000 tonnes of paper and card each year in Birmingham is going to waste instead of being recycled.
Places of Worship often do not recycle because of the costs. The good news is there is now a free service for places of worship and community groups in Birmingham. Tamara Bolger can visit the church, discuss practical needs, provide outside recycling bins, provide bags for individual rooms, arrange collections and offer advice, encouragement and information. Her contact details are tamara.bolger@birmingham.gov.uk or 0121 303 7565
